I had to learn about football! No good me thinking football was played with a round ball, I needed educating. So Jim Patterson took me down to Dallas to witness the Cowboys beating the NY Giants. Look at the scoreboard: Cowboys 24 – Giants 14

Then he took me and lil Jimmy to Norman to go and watch his really favourite team: The OU Sooners – all in red. The crowd was a sea of red as the local supporters flocked in. I don’t remember who we beat that day. Here we are walking to the stadium; Jimmy waves the flag

– does the flag say Cowboys? I may have my venues mixed up? –

. . and ahead of Jimmy: Kardokus ?? Jim Kardokus? I seem to recognise the shape and a name vaguely comes to mind? – Who can help?

And then there was my own – less illustrious – football career! Here’s a link: my football career – Somehow I wasn’t too surprised when the Dallas Cowboys just let me go back to Africa without pestering me to sign up with them.
